What I am doing is trading the FTSE using traditional Jobbing techniques which I learnt on the floor of the London Stock Exchange between 1980 and 1987.

Jobbers had to make a two way price and learned ways to move this price to generate ‘jobbing turns’ and manage the position.

The price would be influenced by a number of factors but key was, it was set in a way to ‘manage the book’, keeping the position under control while getting in a position to take turns.

Understanding what prices to make comes from understanding how to manage the book .

I think this is a relatively low risk way to generate returns well above average.

I am trading at Ayondo with the aim of building up a track record impressive enough for people to follow me. You can see my track record here https://social.ayondo.com/TradingTortoise

This blog is partly so people can see how the money is being made.
